Each of us goes on our own journey in the time gifted to us and marked out for us. At every moment we sense and experience something that is once in a lifetime, for every second of our being is subject to change: it may be happy or sad, carefree or pensive, insignificant or fateful. Above all, however, it is fragile and irretrievable.
It is from this fragility and irretrievability that the fabric of our lives is woven, and it is up to each one of us what purpose we give to those moments which are ours alone.

Tonight's joint programme of 'Fragile Moments' by Hradišťan and the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic features songs exploring this very subject. The first half focuses on 'Time', and the second on 'Love and Hope'. On another level this concert is dedicated to all those good people whose attitude to life gives purpose to the time marked out for them, whose love gives new hope to others. And for that it is right to give thanks.
