Kateřina Kněžíková made her first appearance at the Prague National Theatre in 2005 as Zerlina, and has been a permanent cast member since 2006. She made her debut in the role of Mozart's Serpetta at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels.

Her professional concert and operatic engagements have involved work with conductors such as S. Baudo, J. Bělohlávek, A. Fisch, J. Gaffigan, M. Honeck, J. Hrůša, R. Jindra, V. Luks, E. Mazzola, J. Nelson, T. Netopil and outstanding orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, Collegium 1704, the Czech Philharmonic, the Hesse Radio Symphony Orchestra in Frankfurt, and others.

Kateřina Englichová has won first prizes in many international competitions, including the Pro Musicis International Award in New York. She has also won the Laureate Prize of the Czech Philharmonic's Chamber Music Society for her chamber music work, and the Luxembourg music magazine Supersonic Pizzicato's prize for her recording of French chamber music by Pierné, d'Indy and Francaix with the flautist Carlo Jans and members of the Martinů Quartet.
