Tonight we pay homage to two exceptional artistes, Barbra Streisand and Ella Fitzgerald, who have had a big influence on the world music industry.
Bohemia Voice is a vocal quartet using bel canto techniques together with new arrangements written specially for this unique group to reinterpret golden oldies from around the world. The quartet works on the arrangements with leading Czech artists such as the jazz pianist and arrranger Vít Pospíšil, the film music composer Robert Jíša, and others.
Conducting the concert is the Indian-Czech conductor Debashish Chaudhuri, a keen active supporter of charity events.
This benefit concert is for Adélka, who has the rare Phelan Mc-Dermid syndrome. The aim is to generate the funds to finance the purchase of a flat for Adélka, her brother Tadeášek and their mother Broňka, and give them a new start in life in their difficult family situation.
