The Žesťová harmonie chamber group comprising section lead players from the Zlín Philharmonic gave their first concert in 1992, and since then they have held over 100 performances. The ensemble plays in the Zlín region but also countrywide and beyond, with performances in Austria, Germany and France. The sextet's repertoire consists of works by composers across the span of musical periods from the Renaissance (Otto, Pezelis, Gabrielli, Franck), Baroque (Handel, Albinoni, Martini, Purcell, Vivaldi), Classical (Mozart), and Romantic (Brahms, Bizet, Schmid), right through to the 20th century (Hindemith, Martinů, Gershwin) and the present day (Pavlorek, Liška, Pavel, Eben, Staněk). Their work also includes arrangements of jazz (Joplin, Ježek) and pop (The Beatles).
