Lucie Bílá, who tops the bill in this concert, needs no lengthy introduction. She has won the Týtý TV popularity poll many times, the Czech Nightingale music industry award a record number of times, a series of Czech Popular Music Academy awards, and the Thalia Prize in the Light Opera and Musical category. In short, she's been the queen of Czech pop for a long time and has achieved in her unbelievable career just about everything there is to achieve. Not only a massive celebrity, Lucie Bílá is also an outstanding artist whose eclectic span of styles and genres coupled with her extraordinary ability to bring such expression to her singing is something unique in Czech pop music. The unquestionable talent of this "first lady of Czech pop music" is borne out by the continuing support of hundreds of thousands of her ardent fans who regularly make her concerts and sports arena gigs a sell-out.

Over her career Lucie Bilá has had some 20 solo albums to her name, and her hits such as 'Ave Maria', 'Láska je láska' and 'Jsi můj pán' have dominated the top spots in the hit parades. Pivotal to her career has been her coming-together and many years of artistic collaboration with the composer and songwriter couple Ondřej Soukup and Gábina Osvaldová, and with the pianist Petr Malásek, and it is with his band that Lucie Bílá performs a varied selection from her broad repertoire at the Zlín Congress Centre tonight. Among the numbers she will be singing are the hits 'Desatero', 'Miluji tě', 'Modi', 'Most přes minulost', 'Pouta', 'Světlo zas uvidíš' and many more.
