The Moldavian conductor Roman Baltag, born in 1989, is currently resident in the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Music and Arts in Bucharest and the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden. His competition successes include the award last year of the Richard Wagner bursary in Bayreuth, and he was finalist at the Riccardo Muti Opera Academy in Ravenna.
Indi Stivín, born in 2001, fell in love with the double bass at the age of nine, and resolved to spend all his time on it. He has already won a number of first prizes at the International Double Bass Competition in Blatná, at the Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf International Double Bass Competition in Bánská Bystrica and at many others, not to mention the Victor Dijon de Monteton award - a special award for outstanding musicians under the age of 17 - in the Swiss city of Zurich.
The Hungarian trumpet-player Mihály Könyves–Tóth, born in 1993, won second prize at the Prague Spring competition last year, and has been a member of the Hungarian State Opera since 2012.
Among the achievements of the Polish violinist Sara Dragan, born in 1999, is first prize at the New York International Artists Association Violin Competition in 2015, and despite her youth, she has already given 30 solo performances with various orchestras in Poland and other countries.
