Karolína Zívalíková, who comes from Prešov, graduated from the State Conservatoire in Bratislava and the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. During her studies she had a number of competition successes, including three first prizes at the A. Procházka International Festival, two third prizes at the Heran Cello Competition in Ústí nad Orlicí, second prize at the Liezen International Cello Competition in Austria, and others. She has taken part in many international masterclasses and performed in dozens of concerts at home and abroad. She has played with the Slovak Philharmonic, the Slovak Chamber Orchestra, the Webern Sinfonietta, the Camerata Polonia, the Wiener Symphoniker and others, and is currently the cello assistant concertmaster with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic.
Together with the pianist Zuzana Králiková Pohůnková they have been performing as the Duet le anam since 2012.
