After the roaring success of the concert by the group Fragile in April 2019 here at the Congress Centre, their fans now get a unique opportunity to rediscover everything the human voice has to offer.
Fragile are a group of popular vocalists known from their TV, theatre and musical appearances and here in the Czech Republic these include the Jan Kraus Show, Snídaně s Novou, Sama doma, Dobré ráno and many others. They won the Music Group of the Year Slovak award in 2013, 2014 a 2015 in an OTO audience poll, and the Slovak musicians' Crystal Wing award for Album of the Year in 2013. They make regular appearances in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and many other countries in Europe, and are some of the leading exponents of the "a cappella" genre with their versions of well-known rock-pop hits from around the world in their impressive and original "a cappella" arrangements, all produced through the voices of the singers alone, often with beatbox backing.
This Advent concert offers a wide variety of music from Baroque and Classical through to carols, spirituals and well known modern pop hits, including pieces such as Air, Ave Maria, Ride the Chariot, Amazing Grace, Mary´s Boy Child, Poďme bratia do Betléma, Jingle Bells, Tichá noc, Over the Rainbow, Bohemian Rhapsody, Shape of You and many more, all in "a cappella" style. The programme is led by Braňo Kostka, who is producer, stage director and host of the whole evening. In addition to the fantastic music, listen out for the off-the-cuff humour which all adds up to a unique and fun-packed evening.
