Jiří Pavlica and Hradišťan have featured regularly at venues both at home and abroad for several decades, always guaranteeing great artistic quality, inventive and varied stagecraft, and the skills of engaging with musicians of many different genres, opening up new horizons for themselves and their audiences.

Tonight’s concert with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic under the baton of Stanislav Vavřínek builds on that precedent with a selection from Hradišt’an’s repertoire with the Orchestra, plus the premiere of some of Jiří Pavlica’s new pieces. As this concert is also a celebration of his birthday, there will be the opportunity for a surprise premiere in which a talented young guest and someone very dear to Jiří Pavlica will put in an appearance.
