Zlín Region again Hosts 2016 International Conducting Courses in Collaboration with FBM

The International Conducting Institute and the Zlín Conducting Masterclass have drawn some 30 talented conductors from all over the world to the Zlín Region.

The list of participants includes professional conductors from Lithuania, Sweden, Switzerland, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Brazil, Canada and the United States. The artists will spend over three weeks in August and September in the Zlín Region taking the opportunity to hone their conducting skills to perfection with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra.

The first part of the course in August takes place at the Palace of Culture in Kroměříž, and the second part at the Congress Centre in Zlín, when the Orchestra will appear in full scale. The highlight of the first part of the workshop will be a public performance on 12th August 2016 at the castle in Kroměříž. This concert is also part of the 'Music in the Gardens and Castle' Festival.

The workshop tutors will be well-known figures such as Kirk Trevor (USA), Tomáš Netopil (Czech Republic), Luke Dollman(Australia) and Atso Amila (Finland).
