The singer and guitarist Lenka Filipová regularly graces our concert stages, and her performances and albums to date demonstrate that she is equally at home in a popular or classical music setting, so it is our pleasure to give her an opportunity here in Zlín this evening to both sing and play the guitar lwith our symphony orchestra. Lenka Filipová has performed in most of Europe, Japan, the USA, Canada and Australia, and she has won the Grand Prix title at the guitar festival in the Netherlands Antilles, and a Czech Grammy award. She has toured with Francis Cabrel, and guest performed with Céline Dion on her Czech tour. Among her most successful albums are Zamilovaná, Quo vadis, Lenka, Řeka života, Částečné zatmění srdce and many more, not to mention her three Concertino guitar albums. Her guest performer tonight is her daughter Lenny, a successful singer-songwriter, composer and pianist in her own right.
