Oskar Rózsa - conductor
Oskar Rózsa, who graduated from the Bratislava Conservatoire and Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU), studied film music composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, but despite his close association with that genre, he turns his hand to all musical styles. He has featured as musician and producer on some 50 albums by various artists, and has worked with the likes of Dežo Ursiny, Richard Müller, Marián Varga, Jana Kirschner and others. A founder of the bands Free Faces and Barflies, he has written scores for several theatre productions and films, and occasionally conducts the Bratislava Chamber Soloists. This concert presents well-known themes from the films of the Golden Age of Hollywood between 1927 and the 1960s.
