There could be none better than the internationally acclaimed soprano Martina Janková for this concert, which highlights the operatic compositions of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Originally from North Moravia, she lives in Switzerland and is known primarily as a Mozart and Baroque soloist, as is evident from her performances in the Mozart/Da Ponte cycles (Susanna, Despina, Zerlina) under the great Franz Welser-Möst. She has appeared at the Zurich opera house, for example, and with the Cleveland Orchestra in the USA, and at the Salzburg Festival.
She made her highly successful debut at Milan's La Scala in 2016 in the main role of Bellezza (Beauty) in Handel's oratorio Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno, and has worked with many world-class conductors. Among the pieces we will hear are the beautiful concert aria Ch'io mi scordi di te? for soprano, piano and orchestra.
